How naive were we when we thought that those countless days would stay the same. So young and blinded, captivated in our youthful ways. And we remained hopeful that the tide couldn't break the promises made. But realization has it's way of opening our eyes to the coming waves. It's a reminder of what used to be. A price to pay for the lives we lead. Innocence got the best of us, now tangled in a life of uncertainty. Beaten and broken over the years, a will decayed with our age. Our dreams and ideals were shattered and what's left of the fragments is still a reflection of a past I could never escape. It's a reminder of what used to be. A price to pay for the lives we lead. We lost something that we can't get back. A piece of me, I won't forget.
